CaliX-L Level Transmitter Calibration
Precision calibration for radar, guided-wave radar and float-type level transmitters using controlled linear movement with 10-micron position resolution.
A Better Reference for Radar Verification
CaliX-L is Mezur's precision level-transmitter calibration service platform. Its 5-metre horizontal axis uses a servo-driven ball screw, encoder feedback, PLC control and touchscreen HMI to create known, repeatable movement with a position resolution of 10 microns.
For non-contact radar calibration, the transmitter is mounted on the moving platform and aimed at a fixed metallic target wall. As the platform moves toward or away from the wall, the system records the actual travel and the radar's measured distance or 4–20 mA output.
The two readings are compared point by point to quantify error, linearity and repeatability across the selected range. The CaliX-L reference motion is substantially finer than a typical radar accuracy of ±1 mm, enabling meaningful verification of transmitter performance.

Known Movement. Measured Output. Direct Comparison.
The fixed target and moving transmitter create a controlled distance change that can be compared directly with the radar reading.
Mount & Connect
The radar is secured on the moving platform, aimed at the stationary metal wall and connected to the acquisition system.
Set the Reference
The platform is brought to its datum; servo, encoder and PLC establish the known starting position.
Move & Record
The ball screw moves the radar through manual or predefined points while actual position and radar output are logged.
Compare & Report
Radar readings are compared with actual travel to evaluate error, linearity and repeatability across the range.
