LGT Level Gauge – Tubular
Compact, easy-to-maintain tubular level gauge with built-in isolating, drain and vent valves for utility applications.
LGT tubular gauge is fitted between two end blocks through gland packing and mounted parallel to the tank to form a closed loop — causing liquid to seek its level in the gauge tube. Tie-rod or C-channel guards protect the glass tube against accidental blows. End blocks have built-in isolating valve, drain valve and vent plug for easy maintenance.
Key Features
- Simple closed-loop design — liquid seeks its own level
- Easy maintenance — built-in isolating, drain and vent valves in end blocks
- Compact design for maximum visibility
- Guard protection (tie-rod or C-channel) against accidental blows
- Available in various metallic and plastic materials
- Stub end flange or fixed flange connection options

How the LGT tubular gauge connects in real installations — and which build to choose for your fluid and conditions.
Boiler Feed Water & Day Tanks
Connects across the tank's top and bottom nozzles to form a closed loop, so the liquid seeks its own level in the glass tube — an at-a-glance reading with no power or electronics.
Diesel & Oil Day Tanks (DG Sets)
Ideal for fuel and lube-oil day tanks — the sealed glass tube gives a clear, instant level for refuelling and run-time checks.
Acid, Alkali & Corrosive Chemicals
For liquids that attack metal, choose PP wetted parts and end blocks so only inert, corrosion-resistant surfaces contact the media.
Utility, Service & Overhead Water Tanks
A simple, low-cost local indicator for water storage where a powered transmitter is not required.
Pressurised Process & Mixing Tanks
For vessels up to 10 bar / 150°C, the metallic (MS / SS) build provides a robust, guarded sight level.
Coolant & Reservoir Tanks on Machinery
Compact mounting and built-in isolating, drain and vent valves make routine maintenance quick on plant equipment.
Choosing the right build: LGT mounts between two tank connections (top & bottom). Pick PP wetted parts for corrosive media, or metallic (MS / SS) for pressure and temperature up to 10 bar / 150°C. Centre-to-centre distance 300–3,000 mm, with built-in isolating, drain and vent valves for easy service.
